Ohio Septic System Requirements
In January 2015, Ohio passed a new administrative Code (3701-29). The new law requires that all homeowners must have an Operation and Maintenance Program for their septic system. The local Health Department monitors and tracks compliance which is then reported to the Ohio Department of Health. Depending on what county you live in, the requirements can differ, but all counties in Ohio do require systems to be on a plan that is created and provided by a licensed septic service provider. Aeration Septic has the certifications necessary to handle all of your septic system needs.
We accomplish this by communicating regularly with the environmental health divisions of county- specific health departments on behalf of our over 2,000 satisfied customers. This allows our office management team to stay up-to-date on Ohio’s new septic service regulations. It also allows us to make sure our service professionals are keeping our customers’ systems in compliance with all federal, state and local regulations. Our licensed, bonded and insured ASI team of experts participates in a wide variety of manufacturer and industry training programs to learn about new products and septic service technique

Aerator repairs and services
Aerobic treatment systems need consistent maintenance and care. Residential aerobic treatment systems are a small-scale sewage treatment system that uses air infiltration and natural bacteria to turn household sewage into groundwater. This treated water can then be disposed of openly in the environment. On average, homeowners need to service their system two times a year. To make sure your system is working most efficiently, check out our blog post on tips and tricks for properly maintaining your aeration septic system. Servicing the motor in your septic system is just as important as servicing your car routinely, so establishing a schedule is important!
ASI can assist with a variety of commercial maintenance and repair issues. Our team has over 40 years of experience in the wastewater industry, working with all types of pumps and wastewater systems throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania and West Virginia. We are confined space certified and can install, rehab, service and maintain all types of lift stations and treatment plants. This includes supplying the pumps and control panels best designed for your location and needs.
Septic Tank Inspections
When buying or selling a home with a septic system, it is important (and in many cases mandatory) to have a septic inspection. It is also important as a homeowner to get your septic tank inspected per system manufacturer recommendations, which is often two times per year. This is done to ensure that your septic system is working properly. As a homeowner, it is important to remember that the septic system is one of the most expensive features to replace on a property. This makes choosing a qualified and licensed septic professional to perform an inspection necessary. This expert can provide knowledge and peace of mind in making the purchase or facilitating the sale of a home.
